Bandstuhl by Markus Bangerter
German designer Markus Bangerter has designed the Bandstuhl.
Polyfine is the term for seating furniture produced from mere textile fabrics. The furniture is not in need of any further material or any carrying constructive structures. The textile structure out of a ribbon or a rope fulfills the static properties as well as the aesthetic and haptic prerequisites of seating furniture. Thus, Polyfine redefines material properties of flexible textile fibers. The project is based on a newly developed construction principle for thermoplastic chemical fibers.
