A new concept shop has hit the leafy streets of the area Frederiksberg in Copenhagen. Started by a ceramicist and a fashion store owner, Black is an ever changing space where artists and designers are invited in to do an exhibition/collaboration in the shop changing 4-6 times a year.

And what’s even more interesting is that with all the exhibitions to date, Anne Black has created a limited edition ceramics collection. Anne is also one of the two shop owners!

The space is a mix of raw concrete floors & paint leftovers from the space’s former interior decoration mixed with feminine and soft furniture pieces and details. Beautiful fashion pieces thoroughly chosen by the shop’s other owner Kirstine Meier Carlsen hang on simple clothes stands, while Anne Black’s ceramics are exhibited throughout. Other hand picked items are also on sale such as specialist magazines, accessories, furniture and lighting as well as stationary.

Currently the shop is showing an exhibition/collaboration with Swedish artist Astrid Svangren. Astrid has created a blooming installation including large illustrations painted directly onto the walls and windows while the owners have created smaller floral installations dotted around the space, brought in specialist magazines like BLOOM and The Plant as well as showcasing special canadian floral tights.

We’re excited to see what the next collaboration will be.
