Precious Collection by Ilse Crawford for Georg Jensen

British designer Ilse Crawford has cooperated with one of Denmark’s biggest design brands Georg Jensen and created the Precious Collection. The collection consist og a small number of key pieces that are all timeless, elegant and made from beautiful metals.

The company explains, “Precious by legendary award-winning designer Ilse Crawford is comprised of universal objects that feel special and valuable. Each piece is designed with a specific function in mind but can easily be adapted to whatever the user has in mind. No matter what, they will frame the activity, bringing a sense of care, meaning and depth to a daily ritual. Daily rituals are an essential part of everyday life. They are the moments we rely on to give our lives a framework and to give us a sense of wellbeing that ultimately translates to happiness.

With PRECIOUS, Ilse Crawford broadens the horizons of everyday items. Using materials such as solid copper, steel, brass and glass to create smooth, beautiful finishes, she creates a powerful link to our emotions and reinforces the connection between the heart, the head and the hands. PRECIOUS is comprised of two vases/jugs, two bowls, three boxes and a candleholder. With the amazing Mama vase – the star of the collection – Ilse Crawford as the first female ever joins the exclusive club of Georg Jensen Masterpiece designers.”
