True Colours by Lex Pott
Yet again I was reminded of designer Lex Pott‘s exciting material experiments on the weekend where he was exhibiting his new metal vessels at Blickfang Copenhagen.
The 27-year old designer works with a raw and intuitive method and and seeks to returns to the origin of the materials he uses most: wood, stone and metal.
His new vessels that are an extension of his True Colours project are absolutely stunning as they consist of 2 very contrasting elements: half of the vessels are polished clean metals such as copper, steel and brass, half is chemical reactions to the exact same material but now it changes colour, has a raw uneven textured surface.
