Swedish design studio Front have created a collection of new furniture utilising traditional techniques for Thonet.

Taking inspiration from the classic Viennese Thonet pieces dating back to the 1800’s, Front has created a bench/coatrack, coffee table and a dining table.

Thonet is known for developing the technique of solid bent wood back in the middle of the 19th Century and it is this technique that Front has experimented with and used for the new pieces.

Front consists of  Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken and Anna Lindgren and the collection was launched during the Milan Furniture Fair in April.
