Sophie Menser & Oscar Peet have designed the Syzygy lamp collection.

Based on three celestial alignments – transits, eclipses and occultations – Syzygy uses photographic polarizing filters to manipulate light. The back dis, or “sun” is fixed, whereas the front two can be adjusted by hand to achieve the desired effect.

Like the sun, the light source burns constantly and is eclipsed only when the three discs are aligned.
